THE PLAYERS

1. A minimum of 10 registered players. 15 max.
2. A minimum of 5 players must show up for the game. 12 max on game day.
3. Diversification (all Divisions except International)
- Open to Malaysian IC card holders only.
- Minimum 5 Chinese players.
- Minimum 5 non-Chinese players.
- The remaining 5 players can be Chinese or non-Chinese.
- We will follow MABA's definition of NC. A player which states race as "cina" on their birth certificate is considered a chinese player.
On birth certificates which does not state race, the father's race will determine the race of the player;
unless the player is able to produce a government endorsed document to prove otherwise.
- At least 1 Chinese and 1 non-Chinese must be playing at the same time. The remaining 3 are free.

4. International Division
- Minimum 5 foreigners.
- Minimum 5 Malaysian IC card holders.
- The remaining 5 players can be foreigners or Malaysians.
- At least 1 foreigner and 1 Malaysian must be playing at the same time. The remaining 3 are free.
5. Restrictions
- No national players who have played for their country between 2021-present. Verification is made with MABA/ FIBA.
- Women's Premier Division - 1 national player (2021-present) allowed per team.
- Players are to play on 1 team only (one division).
- Vets aged 40(born in 1983 or earlier).

6. Playing time - to give players playing time
- Applies to all divisions.
- Different players are to play 1st and 2nd quarters :
1. E.g. Team comes with 12 players, 6 players will play 1st quarter and the remaining 6 to play 2nd quarter. Subs allowed between the 6 players only.
2.E.g. If team comes with 8 players, 5 players to play full in 1st quarter, the remaining 3 players to play full in 2nd quarter. 2 players from 1st quarter are chosen by the opposing team (just before the start of 2nd quarter) to play the 2nd quarter.
3. If players arrive late (mid of 2nd quarter), they will be allowed to sub the players who played in 1st quarter.

-Team is free to pick any players for 3rd and 4th quarters.
-If a player is injured or sick (verified by tournament director (or assistant on the ground)), he may be substituted but cannot return to play the game.

JERSEY

1. Each team is advised to have 1 set of white (or light colored) and 1 set of colored (dark) jersey.
2. Home team (listed 1st) wears white, and the other wears colored.
3. Both teams allowed to wear colored if clearly different from each other.

GAME DAY

1. Sitting. 1st team is on the left of the official table. Only the team manager, coach, assistant coach, and players are allowed on the players' bench.

FIBA RULES

1. When not specified, FIBA rules shall apply.

DISPUTES

1. CBL reserves the right to mediate and decide on any disputes between teams.
2. Disputing team must file an official complaint with a deposit of RM300 to CBL, within 48 hours of the game in dispute.
3. The deposit shall be returned if the complaint is accepted and the original.

THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR AND CBLx ORGANIZERS

1. Reserve the right to amend the rules as and when necessary.
2. Has the final say.

ADDITIONS

1. Allowed anytime throughout the round-robin stage of the tournament.
2. Roster cannot be more than 15.
3. Players who have dropped out of a team can no longer play in the league for this year.
4. RM100 fee per player addition into the team.

TRADES

1. Window is open after the last round-robin game is played n the particular division.
2. Window is closed 24 hours before the start of the playoffs.
3. Only players who are currently playing in the league can be traded. No new / outside players allowed.
4. Trades between divisions allowed.
5. Only 2 trades allowed per team.
6. RM100 fee per player traded into the team.
7. No additions allowed after the end of the round-robin stage and no trades allowed after the trading window ends.

WALKOVER GIVEN TO OPPONENTS (20-0)

1. Teams with less than 10 registered players at the start of their game (Teams can fill-up their roster and play the following game).
2. If less than 5 players show up for a game, and the referee has waited for 10 mins from the scheduled game time.
3. Diversified players
- If a team does not have a minimum of 5 Chinese or 5 non-Chinese players on their roster at the start of any game.
- If a protest is filed after the game (where no technical foul is called during the game), and the organizers find merit in the protest, the team that don't meet the diversification rule shall be penalized.

4. Fielding a (2021-current) national player (except for Women's Div)
5. Fielding an ineligible player (non-registered, playing multiple divisions)

DISQUALIFICATION FROM TOURNAMENT

1. Team
- More than 2 walkovers.

2. Player
- Fighting or misbehavior deemed to disrupt the tournament.

TECHNICAL FOUL(2 SHOTS)

1. Diversification Rule
- If players who are fielded during the game do not follow, and the referee, organizer or opposing team is alerted.
- Not following the "Playing Time rules". No post game protest allowed.

FINES

1. Team

- If a team stages a walkout, a fine of RM300 will be imposed.

2. Player

- Caught smoking or littering on UCSI campus - fine of RM100.

3. Teams or players will not be allowed to play the following games until the fine is paid.

FEES

1. RM1800 per team.
2. Early bird (before 12 June 2023).

PREMIER

1. Champs: RM3000, trophy, and medals.
2. Runner-up: RM2000 and medals.
3. 3rd: RM1000 and medals.

1. Champs: RM1500, trophy and medals
2. Runner-up: RM1000 and medals.
3. Third: RM500 and medals.
