Competitive (and/or social) league for vets, players aged 35 or older.
1. A minimum of 10 registered players. 15 max.
2. A minimum of 5 players must show up for the game. 12 max on game day.
3. Chinese players
- 3 max on the roster. No minimum.
- 2 playing at any one time.
- the rest in NC.
- We will follow MABA's definition of NC. A player who states their race as "cina" on their birth certificate is considered a Chinese player.
On birth certificates that do not state race, the father's race will determine the race of the player; unless the player is able
to produce a government-endorsed document to prove otherwise.
- Verification is done by the tournament director/committee before the start of tournament and after any additions/ trades.
- All team managers will also have access to their opponents' rosters and are urged to highlight any to the tournament director for verification before any game.
4. Restrictions
- No current national players. Verification is made with MABA.
- Women's Premier Division - 1 current national player allowed per team.
- Players are to play on 1 team only – except vets.
- Vets aged 35 (born in 1988 or earlier).
5. Playing time - to give players playing time
- Applies only to Development (men and women), Weekend Warriors, and Veterans divisions.
- Different players are to play 1st and 2nd quarters :
1. E.g. Team comes with 12 players, 6 players will play 1st quarter, and the remaining 6 to play in the 2nd quarter. Subs are allowed between the 6 players only.
2. E.g. If a team comes with 8 players, 5 players to play full in 1st quarter, and the remaining 3 players play full in the 2nd quarter. 2 players from the 1st quarter are chosen by the opposing team (just before the start of the 2nd quarter) to play the 2nd quarter.
3. If players arrive late (mid of 2nd quarter), they will be allowed to sub for the players who played in 1st quarter.
-The team is free to pick any players for 3rd and 4th quarters.
-If a player is injured or sick (verified by the tournament director (or assistant on the ground)), he may be substituted but cannot return to play the game.
1. Each team is advised to have 1 set of white (or light colored) and 1 set of colored (dark) jersey.
2. Home team (listed 1st) wears white, and the other wears colored.
3. Both teams allowed to wear colored if clearly different from each other.
1. Sitting. 1st team is on the left of the official table. Only the team manager, coach, assistant coach, and players are allowed on the players' bench.
1. When not specified, FIBA rules shall apply.
1. CBL reserves the right to mediate and decide on any disputes between teams.
2. Disputing team must file an official complaint with a deposit of RM300 to CBL, within 48 hours of the game in dispute.
3. The deposit shall be returned if the complaint is accepted and the original.
1. Reserve the right to amend the rules as and when necessary.
2. Has the final say.
1. Allowed anytime throughout the round-robin stage of the tournament.
2. Roster cannot be more than 15.
3. Players who have dropped out of a team can no longer play in the league for this year.
4. RM100 fee per player addition into the team.
1. Window is open after the last round-robin game is played n the particular division.
2. Window is closed 24 hours before the start of the playoffs.
3. Only players who are currently playing in the league can be traded. No new / outside players allowed.
4. Trades between divisions allowed.
5. Only 2 trades allowed per team.
6. RM100 fee per player traded into the team.
7. No additions allowed after the end of the round-robin stage and no trades allowed after the trading window ends.
1. Teams with less than 10 registered players at the start of their game (Teams can fill-up their roster and play the following game).
2. If less than 5 players show up for a game, and the referee has waited for 10 mins from the scheduled game time.
3. Chinese players
- If a team has more than 3 Chinese players on their roster at the start of any game.
- If a protest is filed after the game (where no technical foul is called during the game), and the organizers find merit in the protest, the team with more than 2 Chinese players playing at the same time.
4. Fielding a current national player (except for Women's Premier Div).
5. Fielding an ineligible player (non-registered, playing multiple divisions (except vets).

- More than 2 walkovers.
2. Player
- Fighting or misbehavior deemed to disrupt the tournament.

- If more than 2 Chinese players are fielded during the game, and the referee, organizer or opposing team is alerted.
2. Fielding a player from another division (except vets).
3. Not following the "Playing Time rules". No post-game protest allowed.

- If a team stages a walkout, a fine of RM300 will be imposed.
2. Player
- Caught smoking or littering on UCSI campus - fine of RM100.
3. Not following the "Playing Time rules". No post-game protest allowed.
